Summer Soccer Camps are a great opportunity for kids to learn

It’s summer! We’re guessing you want your kids to relax and have plenty of fun –fun that doesn’t involve sitting around the house and playing video games. We’re pretty sure you want them to be outside and playing with other kids their age, improving their athletic skills and learning valuable life lessons. If that’s true, check out Skyhawks Sports youth soccer camps. Skyhawks Sports’ youth soccer program is a supervised day camp with activities 5 days a week. Three program lengths are available: 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours. The 2-hour program is a recreational approach to the sport, teaching kids the basic skills and rules of soccer. The kids will practice drills and play scrimmages. The 4-hour and 6-hour programs are for kids interested in developing their competitive soccer skills. These programs involve more extensive skill study and more scrimmages than the 2-hour program.

Benefits of enrolling an a Summer Soccer Camp

It’s all about exercise and outdoor activity, which is what your kids will get regardless of which program you select. What could be better than helping them improve their health and coordination while they’re having a great time at a Skyhawks Sports youth soccer camp? Playing sports can be very fulfilling and encouraging for kids. Developing skills and improving their abilities increases their confidence--makes them believe in themselves. Additionally, playing soccer teaches kids the value of preparation and working toward a goal. Preparing for a soccer game involves the same foresight, thoughtfulness, and dedication as preparing for a test or any of life’s other challenges. They’ll also learn to have respect for others and for authority. During a practice or game kids have to listen to the coaches and refs to be successful. They also have to respect the players on their own team and on the opposing team, which helps them learn to respect all people. And that’s not all. Skyhawks Sports summer programs help kids build their social skills. Playing a team sport like soccer helps kids to value working together. When they see how important teamwork is in soccer, kids will apply the same principles to their broader lives. Additionally, during games and scrimmages kids learn the value of keeping their emotions under control, as well as the importance of resilience when they succeed despite adversity. Negotiating the rules and the interpersonal relationships with teammates will teach kids, bit by bit, those important communication skills that will help them to navigate their lives. If you’re interested in helping your kids stay active while learning important life skills, contact Skyhawks Sports and ask about summer soccer camps. The lessons your child will learn can last a lifetime.

Testimonials:

My daughter absolutely loves this program. She did it last year and has looked forward to this camp all year. She has tons of fun and that makes soccer fun for her. Thank you for having such a great program! Her little sister can’t wait to do it next year. We appreciate the enthusiasm and energy of the coaches and director.

I was very impressed with the Skyhawks coaches--they were great!!! I know it takes a lot of patience with kids of this age, and they did great. The girls’ performance on Friday rocked!!! They were a little off beat with the music, but other than that I was very glad I enrolled my daughter in this program. I will most likely be signing her up for soccer now. Thank you, Skyhawks!

Taylor had a wonderful experience with the Coaches at this camp. We as parents were also very impressed with how awesome all the coaches were towards our daughter and us as parents. They exhibit an excitement for soccer that we hope Taylor will carry with her. Thanks!
