Skyhawks announces John Cossaboon as Director of Soccer Education

Skyhawks is pleased to announce the naming of John Cossaboon as its Director of Soccer Education. John has been a cornerstone of soccer education for over 25 years. He currently is the Women’s Assistant Coach at Gonzaga University.
Cossaboon joined the Gonzaga staff after leading schools like Southern Methodist University, University of San Diego and UC Santa Barbara women’s soccer programs. His teams consistently finished at or near the top of their conference and made multiple appearances in the College Cup. Cossaboon is also one of very few Americans to coach abroad professionally in Japan’s women’s professional league. Cossaboon also served as the Director of Coaching for the North Texas State Soccer Association from 1982-90, directing and training Olympic Development players and designing and implementing the state's coaching education program. With a United States Soccer Federation "A" License, he has been a National Staff Coach for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America since 1983. From 1983 to 1985, he was a National Staff Coach for the USSF. Additionally, John has authored several soccer education publications and has helped produce soccer training videos.
Skyhawks takes curriculum forward in new direction
Directors of education serve Skyhawks as national spokespeople for their sport while assisting Skyhawks in the development and implementation of the sport’s highest level of teaching. They are consultants in every aspect of curriculum that is provided to Skyhawks participants.
Skyhawks Directors of Education must be renowned and respected in their sport at every level. Directors must have extensive experience in coaching, teaching and in curriculum development. Directors also must share a passion for teaching life skills through athletics.
